Entire project is expected to be 12 weeks. This position can be filled remotely, part time, 2-4 hours each week. Must be available for meetings during business hours (Mountain Daylight Time), scheduled with at least 2 days notice. Estimated total hours: 100 hours. Responsibilities include: • Evaluate on-premises and Microsoft Azure options for future Power BI projects, and make recommendation. • Reviewpilot project data models and recommend best practices for future projects. • Recommend SDLC process and documentation best practices for Agile development for BI projects. • Recommend data publishing/sharing practices for Power BI workspaces. • Recommend data governance practices for Power BI application from early stages of implementation. Will be required to sign confidentiality agreement. Agency Expected Deliverables At minimum, the expected deliverables for the project includes those identified below, but are subject to change pending project or business requests. The resource shall coordinate with the IDL project personnel to set project expectations including but not limited to the following: • Review requirements • Review Power BI data model • Review SDLC • Solution architecture recommendation (on-premise, Azure, etc.) • Microsoft licensing recommendation Specific Skills Required (Programming languages, databases, operating systems, etc.) • Microsoft Power BI Desktop, Data Gateway, Workspaces, Power BI Premium • Azure Power BI services • Some Project Management, Business Analysis, and Quality Assurance • TFS • Power BI Reporting and Premium products • MS SQL Server • Active Directory/Azure Security Concepts • SQL Server Data Tools – Business Intelligence (SSDT-BI) o SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) o Analytical Services • Agile Scrum   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
