The Business Objects Administrator will be responsible for the running tickets, dealing with environmental issues, working thru report and universe migrations, etc. Work directly with Business Units in resolving issues Provide support for SAP Business Objects Suite Provide expertise in undocumented challenges with BI 3.1 (Crystal, WEBI, Universes and Dashboards Contribute to client satisfaction by providing timely and responsive value added business solutions and work products. Business requirements analyst. Analyze and evaluate requests for new or modified reporting access needs to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current system Required Experience/Skills Demonstrated success in building, implementing and supporting BI enterprise Demonstrated proficiency using BI tools (Business Objects Suite XI R3.1). Experience as a Business Objects administrator in an organization with at least 500 users Legally authorized to work in the United States Experience installing, configuring, performance tuning and troubleshooting Middleware software or server based application software Experience serving as the system administrator for middleware software and/or server based application software Experience monitoring servers, services and processes by writing or modifying scripts and alerting upon exception Ability and willingness to share on-call duties with other staff members in order to provide 24X7 support for Business Objects/Crystal environments Strong infrastructure background Good personal computer and business solutions software skills Preferred Skills & Experience Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with team, management, customers and vendors Experience with Tomcat (preferred) or other java web application server. Understanding of connectivity to various data sources such as BW, Oracle and SQL Server is a plus. Experience with Crystal Reports, Universes, Webi, SAP Dashboards and Oracle a plus 3+ years experience supporting Business Objects XI 3.1 from an infrastructure perspective Expertise of the Central Management Console Expertise in the Security Model for XI 3.1 Expertise configuring Active Directory in Business Objects Expertise in Business Objects clustering Expertise in sizing and configuring various Business Objects services Ability to manage performance monitoring and tuning of the environments. Expertise in administering, deploying, installing and configuring Business Objects Strong working knowledge and usage of Infoview, Crystal and Webi Developer skills in Crystal and Webi Working knowledge of configuring the SAP Integration Kit Working knowledge of configuring the Crystal SDK Working knowledge of integration of Kerberos/Vintela and Windows AD SSO Understanding of the Windows Registry Experience working with complex systems administration and database administration Experience managing Apache and Tomcat 6.0 Familiarity with IT Enterprise architecture and complex environments including Java, Oracle databases, API etc Knowledge of Tomcat configuration: Heap Size, Thread Dump, Heap Dump, GC Logs Knowledge of Apache, virtual hosting, reverse proxy, load balancing, various HTTP headers Good communication skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills to meet task deadlines Ability to work independently, self-motivated, with excellent verbal communication   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
