The company will not even look at anybody that is not a Business Analyst and has worked with commercial insurance. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates Insurance business systems and user needs throughout the company. Recommends appropriate new applications development or modifications to existing applications. Writes detailed description of user needs, works with technical resources to assist with development of new or modified applications, assists users and technical resources with testing. May develop or modify workflow procedures and train technical and business partners. Investigate user problems/needs and determine possible solutions. Develop detailed specifications and project plans for use by technical staff and business partners. Plan and schedule workload to meet assigned target dates. May assist other staff in resolving work related problems. Must be able to function independently or in a team environment. Participate in the development/modification of departmental work flows and training materials adhering to department or corporate standards. May assist in training on processing for new or modified applications. Communicate both orally and in writing with business partners, team members, outside vendors and others regarding impact of activity on their assignments, program changes and specifications, project schedules or other areas of mutual concern. Document business processing problems and resolutions for future reference. Handle special projects and other duties as assigned.
