These services are purely API driven with no user interface. The commerce order processing has all rules for processing bestbuy dotcom and external partners orders with all payment types. Project Description – what are the selling points that would spike a candidates interest in this role: Functional BA for understanding order flows from Engineering team and document them. Technical business analysis for back-end web services. This person will act as a flexible resource, interacting with both the development team as well as different teams across multiple products and projects and also work with product teams on new requirements for Commerce services. A primary duty of this role is communicating behavior outwards rather than intake of new functionality, but the latter is also part of the role. Responsibilities/Deliverables that the resource will be responsible for: Able to quickly learn and understand, to a deep level of detail: Customer facing applications, Ux, customer and order flows the behavior of the Restful web services the team produces, the public APIs, and the proper interaction patterns for those APIs the clients (systems) who integrate with these services (REST APIs) and the proper interaction patterns Serves as the primary point of contact to communicate application functionality, behavior and interactions. Filters questions and external feedback back to development team. Communicates both verbally and in writing. Working with the team architect, intakes new behaviors (features) and helps communicate them to development team. Teaches internal team members system behavior during on-boarding. Provides traceability of feature requests back to business owners Develops test scenarios as input to QA and ensures proper test coverage. Assists in the creation and execution of system and user acceptance test plans When necessary, assists in writing test cases/data and executing tests What would a normal day for this position look like?? Understand and document Commerce order processing applications flows, payments, new requirements Understand and document all transformation initiatives by Commerce Engineering. Understand and document current web services, clients, suppliers and interaction patterns. Disseminate system behavior to teams, both internal and external Work with development team on new features Attend daily standups Write testing scenarios as input to QA team What are the MUST have skills that you are looking for in a candidate? Candidates must have ecommerce experience 5+ years in Business Analysis experience 2+ years experience with integrations between multiple systems via web services (REST or SOAP), queues, and batch approaches. Analyzing existing interactions Documenting existing and new interactions Communicating interactions to both development and business leaders 2+ years experience with XML and JSON data 2+ years working in a small agile team, pairing/collaborating directly with developers Able to produce clearly written stories and test scenarios for system to system interactions.
