They serve a broad and diverse user community in every department of the NYU Langone Health system, from Clinical to Research to Finance to Administration to our own MCIT teammates. Our Mobile Apps, for example, include a native iOS app created exclusively for our Board of Trustees, another created specifically to research the symptoms and activities of patients recovering from Concussion, and another designed specifically for our Patient Experience team to feed patient and family feedback directly into the patients electronic medical record in Epic. The Workforce Apps Business Analyst will report to the Product Owner, and will be required to: • Share ownership of the product backlog, prioritizing work based on value, effort, and cost • Align the product backlog to the product roadmap, as defined by the Product Owner and Technical Architect • Groom the backlog daily, using Agile best practices to ensure reliable and predictive estimates can be delivered by the team • Break down larger pieces of work into smaller deliverables and plan out timelines and resources to meet delivery deadlines • Maintain the documentation repository for support purposes as well as to create alignment among the different internal and external groups involved in defining a feature • Facilitate feature refinement discussions, document solution requirements, drive teams to resolve blockers and deliver within defined timelines • Engage users and stakeholders to solicit contextual workflow, user feedback, business value and key performance indicators • Collaborate effectively with UI/UX designers, providing the necessary business and user knowledge to help them arrive at optimal user experiences • Maintain effective and pro-active communication with business, technology and testing teams with which the Workforce Apps team may collaborate in the delivery of cross-functional applications • Re-negotiate Sprint priorities and commitments when the team communicates new discoveries that impact the size or value of work; pro-actively assist Product Owner in reporting when commitments and/or timelines must change • Support the Product Owner and the team in arriving at optimal solutions and timelines for launching, enhancing, upgrading, replacing or decommissioning apps • Share responsibility, with the Product Owner and Technical Architect, for adhering to departmental standards of instrumentation (up/down monitoring, user analytics, performance analytics) in the development of all Workforce Mobile and Web Apps • Demo new features and new applications to users, stakeholders and department leadership • Provide Level 1 support to users, as appropriate and as needed • Occasionally stand-in for Product Owner or Scrum Master, as appropriate and as needed An ideal candidate can demonstrate: • High level of comfort with ambiguity and constantly changing timelines/requirements • Pro-actively maintain familiarity with changing guidelines and requirements associated with the development of mobile apps for use on Apple and Android devices • High level of comfort learning and supporting legacy applications as well as contributing to strategies to develop new ones • Ability to organize and manage large amounts of detailed information • Ability to distill complex information into simple and presentable artifacts • Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate precisely on-point, verbally and in writing • Ability to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions within a set of restrictio   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
