The goal for this initiative is to stabilize and optimize enterprise CMDB discovery. You will be working with the team to establish backlog and provide progress updates on a weekly basis. Additionally this role is expected to drive continual improvement of Discovery in the form of additional class discovery and error resolution/handling. Skills: • Experience with IBM AIX or Microsoft Windows Server; experience with debugging Discovery challenges with these platforms • Experienced working with CMDB • Strong understanding of the ServiceNow Discovery module and how it integrates with CMDB and ITSM modules • Capable of interpreting and developing provided user stories that are ready for development, and working with development team and/or product owners for clarification when needed • Ability to generate detailed documentation • Clear written and verbal communication skills • Work within the Discovery Lifecycle including: • Port Scan phase utilizing the Shazzam probe - Classification phase, Identification phase, Exploration phase • Perform verification on Asset Records and CIs - Process requests to add/maintain Asset Records and Cis • Responsible for updates to the system and continuous updates within Discovery.
