Job Description Analyst: Business Analyst, UML, Web Services, Oracle DB2

[Note: Interview process with be phone screen followed by onsite (skype if need be)]

The Senior Systems Analyst shall have extensive experience in Systems analysis, Systems design, UML based design for web applications and Web Services. Has prime accountability for major projects and will develop detailed and robust requirements, systems design and related documentation. Shall also possess strong oral and written communications skills in order to clearly and effectively convey issues, reports, and other deliverables to SSA counterparts.

Required Skills



· Proficient in defining system documentation requirements based on input from technical personnel.


· Solid OOD/OOP foundation with experience in UML diagramming and design documentation.


· Knowledge of creating and maintaining Data Flow Diagrams and developing Use Cases


· Strong Experience in defining Web Service Requirements.


· Strong communication and technical writing skills.

· Exposure to writing Technical White Papers and systems design documents.


· Database experience such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, SQL and JDBC.


· Communication skills to present ideas and concepts effectively; strong and proven problem solving.


· Self-managed with the ability to mentor others.


· Familiarity with project management frameworks.


· Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and CMMI Level 3 Methodologies


Desired Skills:


· Self starter, highly motivated individual, and a team player who adapts to a dynamic work environment.


· Ability to investigate/research issues, determines impact, and provide solutions.


· Familiar with Web Service technologies such as Apache Axis, SOAP and WSDL.


· Familiar with Rational Unified Process, CMM/CMMI.
