Transcendent BA #927558 The Business Analyst supports various analytical areas in the bank with translating their business data requirements into data source mappings for technical teams to implement within the Banks Big Data platform. Mapping will be accomplished through detailed data lineage analysis of available data within the banks current data models, working within a defined Data Governance framework documenting required metadata for the identified sources. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Collaborate with line of business to develop data requirements - Obtain technical and business metadata for required source data files - Data lineage analysis- tracking data flows through processes to identify original sources working with data stewards throughout the bank - Data mapping and documenting data dictionary metadata including creating and assigning field names and definitions REQUIREMENTS - Business data analyst experience including detailed table and field data mappings - Experience working with business analysis of data for reporting or analytical purposes - Must be self-motivated and know when to seek guidance - Understanding of the role of data, and data governance, in an organization as it relates to business and technology - Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite - Strong process and project oriented skills with the ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines - Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, and/or Computer Science related field.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
