Actively participate in development projects as well as on application sustainment teams. Must be proficient in the use of one language such as Java or C# and the associated development tool sets. Individuals will work with our business partners and will participate in the designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting of applications in accordance to the ITIL Service Lifecycle. Assist in coordinating the efforts of supplier teams when needed to develop or sustain the application environment. Lead the estimation effort for assigned development tasks, assist in estimating level of effort for less senior level developers. Apply company policies and procedures to resolve complex issues. Lead the development effort resulting in well structured, easily maintained program code. Prepares and review documentation of developed programs and processes. Ensure work is delivered on schedule and on budget. Meet all established policies and procedures within the GBTS and corporate environment for the assigned projects. Perform code reviews to ensure all deliverables are of the highest quality. Prepare and review estimates for tasks and projects. Prepare test scripts, and conduct all applicable tests for multiple projects, coordinating across multiple areas. Minimum 6 years relevant experience. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Additional Job Details: The User Interface Sustainment team is responsible for supporting multiple applications in the Sales and Fulfillment domain for Parks and Resorts. The position requires technical expertise in Java, J2EE, JQuery, JavaScript, and other web technologies. Responsibilities include dealing with rapid change, effectively handling time critical issues, working well under pressure, and teaming with our business partners and other technical teams to discover root cause and drive solutions to issues affecting the production environment. You will participate in the coding, testing, implementing, improvement and support of applications in accordance to the ITIL Service Lifecycle while maintaining a high level of quality and professionalism. You must be willing to participate in a rotating on-call schedule, which occasionally requires night and weekend support. - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent - Demonstrated self starter - Demonstrated enthusiasm and aggressiveness for problem solving - Ability to think outside the box to complete a task - Willingness to provide after hours on-call support on a rotation basis - Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including weekends and holidays - Candidate will possess a minimum of 4 years experience in Java development using J2EE. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable with common Java frameworks and have a proven proficiency with Java development in end-user applications with multiple external interfaces. - Candidate will be knowledgeable in Web programming with experience in PHP, HTML, JQuery, JavaScript, CSS, and AJAX - Experience with Objective C is a plus - Demonstrated experience in areas of object-oriented analysis and design - Demonstrated exceptional analytical and reasoning skills - Demonstrated experience with Supporting Production Web Based Applications - Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail - Team oriented and demonstrated excellent communication skills. o Writing skills, to communicate information effectively to customers, managers, and technical staff. o Interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among the Application team. o Demonstrated strong partnering skills   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
