Tuesdays and Wednesdays are required onsite days Description : Michigan Veteran Homes (MVH) is led by governor-appointed Executive Director Anne Zerbe and operates three residential long-term health care facilities for veterans in Grand Rapids, Chesterfield, and Marquette. MVH is working on re-constructing a new facility in Marquette and is scheduled to open in 2025. The business analyst (BA) will be the person working with the business and the project team to analyzes the business needs as it comes to the IT specifics to the new veteran home construction. This would include things like a nurse call system, wander alert system, video surveillance, badging and door systems, physical therapy software and hardware, pharmacy items (medication dispensers, pill packagers and pharmacy software), along with many other IT business items required for a long-term health care facility to operate with. They will assist the business in gathering requirements and documenting its business or processes or systems, assessing the business model or its integration with technology. Business Analyst helps in guiding businesses in improving processes, products, services, and software through data analysis. Overall: This position is part of a team of business analysts supporting the various needs of our Agency. As a Business Analyst, this position is critical to providing overall excellent customer service, owning the coordination and communication between multiple parties, both internal and external, to support the technical needs of our Agency, Michigan Veteran Homes. Required: • This requires the person to be an excellent communicator, adjusting communication style and messages to varying audiences to ensure understanding. • The primary duty of this Business Analyst position is to act as a liaison among business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to information systems, business processes, and policies, as applicable. This position collects, clarifies, and translates business requirements into design documentation, from which applications and solutions are developed. Documentation will include use of standard tools, Clarity PPM, Keylight (GRC tool), Azure Dev Ops, and Excel. • 10 years of experience developing large scale software systems, using agile methodology and frameworks. Ability to write user stories to support Agile development. Collection of stories and other requirements are recorded in Azure DevOps. • 10 years of experience directing the analysis, definition, and documenting of system and business requirements with clients, for large scale systems.
