Job Description :

Sr. Business Systems Analyst

Mounds View, MN

Top Needs:

Knowledge and experience working with clinical study process, data, and systems. Possible roles within study teams, clinical operations, and/or IT supporting the clinical function.
Experience working with and transitioning organizations to leverage non-traditional data types (i.e. medical record, patient reported outcomes, patient wearables). Also, knowledge/experience assessing and deploying the technologies used to procure, integrate, and utilize the data to support clinical studies.
Combination of business and technical acumen within the clinical function.


Summary:

The business analyst position will report within the Clinical IT organization and support initiatives sponsored by the Clinical Council.
Specifically, the council is in the process of defining requirements/use cases for alternative data sources to support the future vision of evidence generation for clinical studies.
This role will serve as primary business analyst and IT liaison to assemble requirements, assess technology options, and assist with deploying solutions.


Responsibilities

Consults with business stakeholders to understand and evaluate current clinical business processes, data, and systems.
Will assess current vs future state processes and technical architectures to expedite deployment of solutions related to alternative data sources and real world evidence (i.e. direct to patient, medical records).
Identify complex business problems and needs turning those needs into system requirements.
Provides technical expertise for system functional specifications and deploys new and current systems, processes and procedures in a cost effective manner.
May configure system settings and options; plan and execute unit, system, and integration testing to meet business requirements.
May lead crossfunctional linked teams to address business or systems issues.


SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM:

Typically an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty
Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results.
The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects from design to implementation while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education (typically University).

Innovation and Complexity: Problems and issues faced are difficult, and may require understanding of multiple issues, job areas or specialties . Makes improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of the job area. Analysis provided is indepth in nature and often provides recommendations on process improvements.

Communication and Influence: Communicates with senior internal and external customers and vendors. Exchange information of facts, statuses, ideas and issues to achieve objective, and influence decision making.
