We have a 24-month project with our client in Albany, NY that requires a Business Analyst, Expert Will function in a business analyst role for the NYWIC Management Information System. Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to: Gather and document business requirements for upcoming NYWIC application enhancements Participate in JAD sessions led by the application development vendor and capture decisions made Review and analyze vendor deliverables to validate that they accurately capture requirements and meet business needs Analyze and document reports currently in the NYWIC system and work with Program staff to determine which ones need to be updated or enhanced to meet business needs Participate in review and/or documentation of regression test scripts for user acceptance testing Provide general support for user acceptance testing efforts Work closely with ITS and Program managers to ensure adherence to standard policies and procedures Mandatory Qualifications: Analyzes an organization or business domain (real or hypothetical) and documents its business or processes or systems, assessing the business model or its integration with technology with distinct deliverables to a solution. 84+ months-Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. Preferred Qualifications: 84 months of experience in a business analyst role on software development projects 84 months of experience leading and facilitating meetings with business staff to elicit business requirements 84 months of experience analyzing business requirements and creating requirements documentation 84 months of experience creating business analysis diagrams, such as workflow diagrams, process flow diagrams and swim lanes, to describe business processes 84 months of experiences creating software documentation including functional specifications and technical specifications 36 months of experience preparing or facilitating the creation of testing scenarios 36 months of experience creating user documentation such as user guides or training presentations Bachelors Degree in an Information Technology related field, from an accredited institution.
