The Vendor Drug Program (VDP) in the Medicaid/CHIP division of the Texas Health & Human Services Commission is seeking an experienced Project Manager/Business Analyst (PM/BA) to work in the development of a large IT project. The PM/BA will schedule and manage work sessions between VDP subject matter experts (SMEs) and vendor analysts, and will assist senior analysts in creating and maintaining project artifacts in WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint, and VISIO. The person must demonstrate experience in project development and be fluent in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts, deliverables and terminology. The PM/BA will assist team business analysts and project managers in the day-to-day coordination of project activities and deliverables assigned to VDP project team members throughout the project lifecycle. The PM/BA will confirm the project tasks assigned to VDP team members are completed on time and will report the status of VDPs project schedule(s) and deliverables to senior analysts and program manager for input to the overall project work breakdown structure and overall project status. The person must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and may assist in moderating analysis and functional design work sessions with vendor analysts and VDP SMEs. The PM/BA will facilitate the maintenance and storage of project artifacts assigned to VDP in designated project repositories and will be responsible for ensuring that filed artifacts adhere to project naming conventions and standardized formats and content. Required Skills : * Project management or business analysis working on complex IT projects * Degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, Management Information Systems, Business Analysis, or similar. Commensurate experience may be substituted for degree. * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Experience with Microsoft Office tools. Power user skills a plus * Meeting facilitation skills.
