Complete Description: DEP is requesting a Business Analyst resource for the Environmental eGrants project to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications. The successful applicant will have the following preferred background: • A strong results-oriented approach, ability to work with a multi-agency project team • Experience working on large-scale or enterprise-level projects; can adjust to dynamic schedules • Experience translating business requirements into functional design specifications • Experience creating technical specifications to be used by developers • Proven ability to document and progressively elaborate requirements using use-cases, to develop detailed functional requirements and system specifications • Experience in participating in and/or leading gap fit analysis sessions • Experience with supporting functionality such as imaging, document management, business rules engines, workflow, business intelligence, or process improvements • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment • Ability to use Microsoft office suite for creating documents, project plans, spreadsheets, and presentations for analysis, often with no template or guide. • Able to design screen mock-ups or layouts and navigational flows • Experience with developing design specifications for correspondence, reports or interfaces • Experience with writing use cases, creating process flows, and/or creating system architecture diagrams and sequence documents • Experience working with relational databases and data reporting tools (such as MSRS or Crystal) • Experience with IT change management and configuration management practices • Ability to organize complex concepts in written or presentation formats. Ability to clearly present information, verbally and in writing, to audiences of diverse technical backgrounds. Excellent communication and negotiation skills; innovative and creative. • Ability to develop system documentation for system administrators, and training materials for end-users • Familiarity with grants administration business area policies and domain knowledge • Willingness to serve as a backup tester for unit, systems, acceptance, and other tests.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
