As a part of the development team you will primarily work with the Clarion 5 programming language for Windows. Experience with one or more of the following languages desired: o Clarion o C# (.Net) o C / C++ o Java · S/he will be expected to demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. · S/he will be expected to demonstrate sound knowledge of algorithms, programming structures (linked lists, arrays etc.) and numerical analysis. · S/he will be expected to demonstrate a strong initiative to learn, collaborate, be proactive in acquiring programming knowledge and skills, taking on new assignments and extending his/her knowledge. · S/he will be expected to take on project assignments by understanding requirements, independently producing code, demonstrating accurate translations of requirements and reviewing results with peers and seniors. · S/he will be expected to partner with the Programmers, Project Managers and Business Analysts to understand changing business demands, formulate solutions and create an atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. · The right candidate must have held the role of Programmer Analyst-I, Junior Programmer or performed equivalent roles for at least 2 years. · S/he will be expected to collaborate with senior Programmer Analysts to develop essential skills and knowledge, implement a learning schedule and demonstrate this knowledge by way of work product. · S/he will be expected to engage with the Development teams to document the architecture of the teams products, including software functionality (SAD), integration points and platforms. · S/he will be expected to work in conjunction with senior PAs to establish a roadmap for the applications including new platforms, distributed/centralized approaches etc. · In conjunction with the senior PAs, s/he will be expected to establish and implement effective requirements practices, including use and continuous improvement of a requirements process. · In conjunction with the senior BAs, s/he will be expected to assist with the development of the teams policies, procedures, and tools. · S/he will be expected to engage in projects in the following phase(s): Execution: o Collaborate with the PM to understand requirements of code functionality. o Translate requirements to code, including exception handling, status alerting etc. o Include performance considerations throughout coding effort. o Include security compliance considerations throughout coding effort. · S/he will be expected to maintain an updated repository of reference documents to support project work. · S/he will be expected to lead discussions, present solutions and strategies to peers, Project Managers and Resource Managers. · S/he will be expected to mentor junior programmers as required. · S/he will be expected to participate in on-call support work as required by the business.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
