Demonstrated experience on Nexus 5k and 7k doing IOS code upgrades 3. Strong troubleshooting skills within IOS code, changes, and Nexus 5k and 7k switches 4. Must be an independent worker with strong ability to be resourceful and figure things out with minimal supervision JOB DESCRIPTION: Acts in a strategic role in the development and maintenance of a data center network. Conducts technology and network assessments, including solutions to enhance or create new business opportunities, integrating multiple technologies. Serves as the highest level data network consultant to internal clients and technical management in all areas of the business to ensure conformity with corporate network architecture: 10+ years network engineering experience. SME level network engineering experience is required. Responsibilities: • Include (but not limited to): Support network routers and switches within Wells Fargos network environment • Execute change via the WF change control process • Assist on mitigating risk for the enterprise by proactively addressing capacity problems or any network related issues • Participate and/or lead enterprise level projects from an engineering perspective • Responsible for creating/updating network designs, responsible for designing, implementing and testing and research and implement industry best practices. • They are looking for candidates who will work in the office during normal business hours and work from home during their evening implementations only. • There could be opportunities to work remote WFH once the contractor has proven him/herself. Qualifications: • 7+ years network engineering experience • Large data center experience (IOS layer 2 & 3) • SME (Subject Matter Expert) level network engineering background to include vendor certifications • Multitask in fast paced environment • CCNA certification highly desired. The manager values equivalent work experience and only having a certification will not cut it. Ideally he would like someone with senior level Network Engineering experience plus a CCNA or CCNP • Enterprise level routing and switching experience • BGP / OSPF experience • Spanning tree and other layer 2 switching experience • Layer 3 routing experience (6500/4500 series) • Network configuration from design docs and subsequent network documentation experience • Ability to work effectively in a team environment. • They must be able to come in and hit the ground running with very little to zero supervision • Must pay attention to detail • Ideal candidate should come from data center background. Must have worked in mid to large size companies with multiple data centers External Communities Job Description Additional Information The manager looks for core network engineers with data center and router/switch experience, as well as large enterprise experience. CCNA cert is very highly desired since most of the network is Cisco-based. Manager will consider candidates with equivalent Cisco work experience and no CCNA certification. Prefers 10+ years of experience in a successful candidate, but will consider candidates with 7+ years.
