CCNP LAN/WAN OSPF EIGRP Xml Parsing Engineer (Jobs in Clovis, CA)   Requirement id 73980 Job title Engineer Job location in CLOVIS, CA Skills required Cisco Network Engineer, CCNP, LAN/WAN, OSPF EIGRP Xml Parsing Open Date 03-Oct-2018 Close Date Job type Contract Duration 6 Months Compensation DOE Status requirement --- Job interview type --- Apply    Email Recruiter: coolsoft Job Description Engineer: Cisco Network Engineer, CCNP, LAN/WAN, OSPF EIGRP Xml Parsing Description: INTERNAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT * The County of Fresno is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer Knowledge, Skills & Abilities h Cisco CCNP or higher certification preferred h Expert-level knowledge of network administration, architecture and engineering in mission critical environments servicing large server deployments h Expert-level knowledge of Cisco ACI concepts and/or experience with ACI installations h Deep expertise and experience supporting the Cisco product line, including Nexus 9000, Nexus 7000, Nexus 5000, Catalyst 6000, ASR routers, and others h Requires strong working knowledge of CISCO network hardware, software, LAN/WAN connectivity, wireless controllers, Aps, etc. h Knowledge of wide variety of network equipment including but not limited to: routers, switches, firewalls, denial of service mitigation, serial consoles, and load balancers h Knowledge of routing protocols including, OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP h Ability to perform complex troubleshooting, including capturing/analyzing network packet traces h Knowledge of Finesse XML layouts and coding Will specifically be responsible for the following: h Start policy work - Develop a plan to roll out policy-based enforcement on the ACI fabric h Research server traffic - Leverage or assist server team and network team to determine host traffic h Upgrade software and licensing - Shepherd the updates to get the system to the current 3.2 release and update to smart licensing h Investigate need for Titration - Determine if it is worthwhile to spend money on a monitoring system or if it is cost-effective to do the work manually over time h Develop resources and documentation to transfer knowledge to network team h Lock down and secure ports on the network using the best practice available h Integration of Lancope more efficiently and determine if more packet tracers are needed h Look at logging more event - direct events to Splunk and setup a proactive response h Network segmentation - investigate practicality of isolation with firewalls h FTD - enable any extra services which we already own licenses for and deploy them on FTD systems h Packet tracing analysis - including documentation and knowledge transfer h Build out Finesse desktop layouts h Evaluate our existing scripting for Finesse and put best practices in place This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and or privileged information internal to our organization and intended solely for the use of the individual(s) or entity or entities to whom they are addressed.
