Create and maintain the software build and deploy architecture, including the source control system, artifactory, build system, deployment tools and server automation tools. Serve as a lead technical resource in design, build, and maintenance of containerization systems. Additional objectives include executing production releases, integrating automated testing early in the CICD pipeline, and establishing application and server monitoring. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Serve as a lead technical resource in the design, build and maintenance of highly automated CICD and containerization systems. 2. Participate in defining the CICD and containerization strategy. 3. Modify existing applications to make use of containers, ensure that new applications make use of containerization technologies, maintain base containers and teach others how to use them. 4. Continuously look for opportunities to improve tools and processes. 5. Coordinate and/or lead the design, implementation and maintenance of release management solutions with various business and IT teams to ensure alignment with short-term and long-term business goals, strategies, and delivery time frames. 6. Provide direction and/or assistance to project and support teams in evaluating technology solutions consistent with corporate strategies, architecture, and standards. 7. Coordinate activities and assignments for junior-level team members to ensure smooth and timely delivery of solutions and software. 8. Diagnose and correct problems related to builds, deployment of artifacts, and environment configuration. 9. Administer the source code repository, continuous integration and continuous deployment tools, code review tools, vulnerability scanning and static code analysis tools. 10. Establish and maintain monitoring tools to ensure applications are healthy and performing within established service levels. 11. Proactively identify potential problem areas and define an action plan to prevent or limit the impact. OTHER FUNCTIONS: 1. Participate/Lead product selection and contract negotiations. 2. Provide afterhours support as scheduled and/or as necessary. 3. Other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Bachelors degree in information technology preferred. Five or more years of equivalent information technology professional experience required. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should be comfortable working in a team environment and willing to work flexible hours. Must demonstrate the ability to understand source code branching strategies, continuous integration, artifact management, containerization and ITIL Release Management best practices. Strongly prefer 7+ years of Information Technology experience including 3+ years DevOps or Release Management experience. Subject Matter Expert regarding o Containerization with a broad knowledge of orchestration technologies o Process automation o Scripting languages o Building and maintaining (CI/CD) pipelines Advanced knowledge regarding o Linux operating systems o Leveraging API calls to automate tasks o Identifying and developing application and server health monitors and alerts o Enterprise Change Management and regular production deployments o Source code management administration, code review / collaboration tools, static code analysis tools, Agile project management / defect management tools, and integration with automated testing suites. o DevOps,   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
