Job Description : Xamarin Mobile Automation Test Engineer JOB SUMMARY Responsible for documenting and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality products. Involved in test planning, writing manual and automated test cases/scripts and test execution. Responsible for analyzing manual and automated test scenario results. Involved in projects of moderate to high complexity within one or more development environments. Involved in multiple programs/systems as a project team member. Considered a subject matter expert for a single program/system. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status Actively and independently acquires and analyzes data for software process evaluation and improvements and integrates them into business processes to address the business needs Performs both back end system and front end UI triage and troubleshooting when identifying defects Determine manual test cases that are candidates for automation Script test scenarios using Xamarin automation tools Delivers quality process training to technical staff and acts as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners Performs quality audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed Ensure alignment between business operational strategies and quality assurance of our products Diagnose complex issues, evaluate, recommend and execute the best resolution Develop, modify, enhance and implement test plans designed to support new or existing business initiatives REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Proficient using Visual Studio for Xamarin Testing Proficient in test tools (TestRail, etc.,) Experience testing iOS and Android mobile applications on phones and tablets Experience in C# language and Page Object Model concept Experience with CI/CD– Jenkins/GitLab Experience in Cloud based testing for Mobile applications Excellent communicator (written and verbal): ability to read, write, speak and understand English Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables Self starter, self motivated, driven individual Ability to work well with shifting priorities Ability to work with cross-functional team of internal and external resources Ability to balance between manual and automated testing Display professional, positive, and approachable attitude/demeanor and discretion Critical thinker, ability to negotiate with key stakeholders and maintain positive attitude Ability to track multiple test efforts simultaneously and to be able to synthesize the results in fast paced environment Experience working in an Agile Scrum team environment Ability to translate technical requirements into test plans Excellent understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) Excellent understanding of test automation framework and tools Proficient in using Xamarin Studio testing automation framework Understanding of database schemas and querying tools Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Education BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience Related Work Experience 4-5 years system testing w/a focus on automation 4-5 years of experience testing native/hybrid mobile (iOS & Android) applications 2-3 years of experience scripting automation tests with Xamarin Studio.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
