Writes secure, stable, testable, maintainable code with minimal defects using current software engineering best practices. You and your team take end-to-end ownership of your solutions including requirements gathering, implementation, thorough testing, deployment, monitoring, security, operations, and documentation for end users and other developers. Identifies opportunities or problems arising from technical decisions. Performs thorough code testing. Classifies, stores, and handles data in accordance with company policy. Resolves defects with research and troubleshooting techniques. Provides technical support and troubleshooting for new and existing systems, making recommendations for their improvement. Required Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a related field. 1+ years of professional software development experience. Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, C#, Java, or Python. Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis. Experience writing unit and integration tests Preferred Qualifications Experienced with JIRA, Confluence, Agile scrum methodologies AWS Developer Certification Experience with best practices in security and compliance standards (PII and PCI), accessibility (WCAG) Experience with Java and the Spring/Dagger frameworks Critical Success Factors & Personal Characteristics Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening. Working knowledge of cloud services (ex: AWS, Google Cloud). Working knowledge of relational databases (SQL). Proficient in a broad range of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, knowing when it is appropriate to use them (and when it is not). Working knowledge of continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Challenges the status quo, champions change and influences others to change. Conveys and/or consults on issues of moderate to significant complexity. Establishes credibility quickly by proactively setting and routinely meeting expectations.
