The Information Security analyst will be directly reporting to Security Business Enabling Manager at the Enterprise Security Office (ESO) and will be embedded at ISPO team at Office of Information Services (OIS), DHS/OHA. This role will be working under the supervision of OCIO. The candidate for this role must demonstrate professional experience applying information security principles in large, diverse organizations, and state government preferred. The Security analyst provides information security expertise throughout the systems development lifecycle in areas including but not limited to software development, access and control methodologies, operations and continuity planning. The individual in this position must exercise considerable independent judgement, have extensive knowledge of computer technology and information systems design. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and be able to work on multiple project and their respective deadlines. The individual must hold a current information security certification like CISSP or CISM. All positions in this agency require a Criminal background check and an Abuse/Neglect check. High level duties included but not limited to are listed below: Information security compliance to federal and state regulations Participate in the assessment of DHS/OHA programs, projects and initiatives to ensure compliance to federal and state laws, rules and regulations Coordinate efforts to mitigate risks associated with any security gap analysis of current systems identified in system audits Document and complete cloud work books and system security plan Interface with external partners to address security compliance while enabling business to operate in an efficient and cost effective manner. Interface with OIS and coordinate the implementation of resolutions to security issues Review solution proposals and evaluate compliance to security federal and state laws and regulations Review with all team members Federal/State/DHS/OHA security policies and regulations. Facilitate discussions to determine best practices to adhere to these policies and regulations Information security obligations as it applies to grant, contracts and agreements Participate in the assessment of DHS/OHA programs, projects and initiatives to ensure compliance to grant and contractual obligations Coordinate efforts to mitigate risks associated with any security gap analysis of current systems identified in system audits Facilitate security discussions with vendors and customers to achieve common understanding of requirements for new systems Review solution proposals and evaluate compliance to grant and contractual obligations Review grant and contractual obligations with respect to security policies and regulations with all team members. Facilitate discussions to determine best practices to adhere to these policies and regulations Participate in assessing programs and technical mechanisms to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
