This person will be joining the team responsible for delivering and supporting large-scale System, Application and Business Activity monitoring solutions for Hewlett Packard Enterprise ITO clients. This individual will ensure that a given clients hardware, operating systems, software systems and applications are properly monitored utilizing a variety of monitoring tools and a basic programming / scripting skillset. As a subject matter expert, it also requires the ability to work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. This expert will also be responsible for mentoring and guiding less experienced employees. Additionally, it may be required to interact with internal and external clients for requirements gathering and solution proposal. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: h Designs, administers, implements and supports Enterprise Monitoring and Application Management systems as a member of a multi-discipline team, including new implementations, enhancements to existing solutions, customized solutions and reporting integrations in full compliance with HP Quality Management System requirements h Reviews system requirements and application dependencies to determine monitoring configuration needed h Possesses an understanding, at a detailed level, of the architectural dependencies of technologies in use in the customers IT environment h Possesses intermediate Project Mgmt skills and is able to independently complete solution implementation or application design deliverables h Leads or provides expertise in triage and incident management with collection and analysis of performance metrics as-required to diagnoses complex system problems and in collaboration with other technology professionals to determine root cause in a timely manner h Engages with all stakeholders on process integration with the monitoring solutions. h Follows ITIL incident, problem and change management processes related to technology infrastructure being supported. h Collaborates with project managers, architects and all levels of management to execute on strategic and tactical goals h Contributes to the research and assessment of industry standards in the areas of application performance management, business service management, and infrastructure monitoring and predictive analytics. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS: h Minimum 5+ years system administration of Enterprise Monitoring Systems. h Minimum 7+ years of experience with HP Server Monitoring and Management products: HP Openview, HP Reporter, HP Performance Manager, HP OMi h Minimum of 5+ years of Windows / Linux administration experience (including Solaris and RedHat Linux) in an enterprise environment demonstrating strong technical abilities with administration of the OS. h 3-5 years of experience with one or more of the following, Windows Powershell scripting, SQL scripting, Linux shell scripting, Java, Java Script, C++, Visual Basic, or Perl. h Proficient in the use and administration of CLI on Linux and Windows systems. h Deep knowledge of Enterprise Monitoring metrics and best practices. h Working knowledge of SNMP. h Experience with ticketing systems (HP Service Manager, HP Service Center, Remedy, ServiceNow). h Incident and Event Management experience. h Experience with Enterprise logging tools and best practices.
