Candidates must be local to central Ohio or relocated by day one for consideration. Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager who will manage the implementation of a large COTS product; 3+ years is desired as this person will be managing tax systems. The candidate will need vendor management, cloud computing, change management, and risk management skills. This candidate will apply Agile principles and frameworks to guide and serve teams that deliver technology solutions. The candidates responsibilities will include: Facilitating team organization and project ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily scrums/stand-ups, sprint/iteration reviews/demos and retrospectives) Coaching team members on Agile values/principles, such as collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and transparency Reporting and removing any impediments/distractions that interfere with the teams ability to deliver against their commitments Creating and adopting working agreements and definitions of done, to include the use of Agile tools, standards, and best practices Ensuring the team tracks and communicates progress and reports metrics to the appropriate audiences Leadership will enable an environment of collaboration and creativity and empower the team to self-organize around achieving their commitments Responsibility for promoting quality practices to ensure components, services and applications delivered by the team meet performance expectations Requirements Manage a large COTS integration effort Utilize Vendor Management Skills to ensure the Vendor is delivering quality on time Utilize Change Management Skills to ensure any change to the contract is documented, agreed to, and signed off Leads high-level planning sessions with the project team Coordinates projects, consisting of varying sizes Consistently mitigates project risks and optimizes resources and program effectiveness Demonstrates and trains others on Agile best practices Deliver commitments consistently and aligned with targeted project outcomes Establish relationships within project teams and with cross-functional teams Report blockers and impediments to project forward progress to Leadership Minimal Qualifications Experience 12+ years of Project Management 10+ years utilizing project management tools 5+ years of experience working in an agile framework 5+ years of experience utilizing Agile tools to manage projects 5+ years of managing vendor in large COTS solution installation PMP Certification Bachelors degree in Business, or IT-related field Desired skills 3+ years personal income tax experience Masters degree in business or project management   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
