The selected individual will produce user experiences that are clean and simple, yet fully functional on a mobile device and will follow a user-centered design process by anticipating what users need, advocating for them and ensuring that the final product surprises and delights them. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Build mobile-friendly user interfaces for consumer-facing Web-based applications involving a large amount of form fields, form validation and the visualization of structured data Translate UX wireframes/mockups into working HTML and CSS/SASS code Adhere to UI coding standards that meet/exceed WCAG 2.0 Level AA guidelines Produce multiple variations of pages for the purpose of A/B testing optimal user experience Create prototypes for Sales demos as well as to iterate on new design approaches with UX team Image and file compression techniques for improving page load speed QA webpages for functionality, aesthetics, usability and accessibility across multiple browser/device combinations Participate as an Agile development team member attending daily stand-ups and sprint demos Qualifications and Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience designing innovative consumer-oriented user interfaces Expert-level knowledge of HTML, CSS/SASS and image/icon manipulation software (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator) Expert-level knowledge customizing UI frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap 4, Material.io, MD Bootstrap) Solid understanding of design principles, UI patterns and UX best practices Experience with Web Accessibility guidelines and related testing tools (e.g. WCAG 2.0, WAVE, Section 508, AATT by Paypal) Experience with browser/device testing tools (e.g. Browserstack) Experience with current web-design trends, techniques and best practices (e.g. mobile first, responsive/adaptive design) Experience with the consumption of RESTful services/APIs Experience practicing design thinking in an Agile development process Experience using development tracking tools (e.g. JIRA, Version One, Rally) Experience using version control (e.g. Git, Bitbucket) Ability to prioritize and complete user stories/tasks with little supervision Excellent communication skills in English with a collaborative, team-oriented attitude Design agency type experience creating user interfaces for many different clients is a plus   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
