This position will be responsible for tactical Unified Communications (UC) planning, design, deployment and optimization of telephony based on reference architecture established by the Unified Communications architects. Primary areas of focus will be both Avaya and Cisco telephony technologies. Responsibilites -Function as a team member responsible for telephony, video and mobility infrastructure development and implementation activities to include: deployment projects, development of business processes and standards, and continuous training of Unified Communications technologies. -Work with project managers, customers, vendors, application programming personnel, and other technical staff in determining design specifications. -Implement, install, and provide direction for large scale technical projects. -Escalation point to assist Operations to troubleshoot, resolve, and provide direction for resolution of complex technical issues; analyze and solve critical problems, root cause analysis. -Develop and maintain the centralized Unified Communications Architectural and Engineering repository and artifacts. -Drive strategic and transitional planning of applications, technology, information and business functions across the enterprise. Skillset Details Technical expertise in one or more Unified Communications technologies including VoIP telephony VoIP and TDM deployment and support experience Five or more years combined experience in telephony, video or mobility technologies. Knowledge of other IT systems (operating/Integration/architecture) and infrastructure Large scale project experience across multiple Unified Communications technologies (telephony, video, mobility, etc.) Cisco and/or Avaya Voice certification or equivalent Five or more years of Avaya Voice Administration, including video and gateway technology.
