Support for changes and analysis related development and enhancements needed to support the implementation of the ICD-10 codes into the Claims Adjudication systems. 2. Support for code synchronization and environment shake-out 3. Support for unit testing and integration testing activities needed to ensure a timely and quality deliverable to the next phase of testing. Tasks: 1. Create, update and test application Software Code. 2. Analyze user requirements and develop software solutions. 3. Support the changes & analysis that are needed for support/maintenance & code synchronization. 4. Postproduction/Warranty Support for developed software. 5. Create and update system documentation. 6. Analyze and provide recommendation to improve, create or eliminate process and/or procedures currently being used or followed by the development team. 7. Analyze, design & implement application software changes for optimizing operational efficiency. 8. Analyze and design database changes for application operational efficiency. Projected Level of Effort: 1. 40 hr/wk from February 20, 2012 through May 31, 2012 The dates provided are anticipated dates of assignment and the assignment may be terminated by CareFirst at any time, with or without notice. Reports to: Clint Auterson Claims Manager Skills COBOL Programmer Analyst: 1. Demonstrated experience with the FEPOC Claims systems a plus. 2. At least 8 years of mainframe-based application development experience. 3. Demonstrated knowledge of COBOL applications running under CICS. 4. Strongly demonstrated DB2. 5. Familiar with structured programming techniques. 6. Demonstrated knowledge and best practices of testing environments and processes. 7. Service Oriented Architecture knowledge and experience is preferred, but not required. 8. Strong communication/writing skills. 9. Must be able to perform assigned tasks with minimum supervision. 10.
