Complete development work tasks, create design and technical documentation, perform software code reviews, engage operations support teams and collaborate with architects, project managers, business analysts and developers. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain current applications, including, but not limited to, bug fixes, feature enhancements and performance tuning, troubleshoot and debug complex issues; identify and implement solutions Lead and mentor less senior developers, develop and provide support for multiple applications Work with a team to create detailed project specifications, requirements and estimates, ensure tasks/projects are completed on time and within scope Work with production operations department to ensure deployments roll out smoothly and customer group receives appropriate support Document validation of design decisions and lead code reviews Work closely with software architects to ensure decisions meet long-term enterprise growth needs Enforce policy and procedural changes within the development group Follow coding standards and adhere to best practices and security guidelines Research and implement new technologies to enhance current processes, security and performance Qualifications BA or BS in information technology area (Computer Science, Engineering, Engineering Systems, Information Systems – Graduate work a plus) 10+ years experience in software application development 10+ years experience with COBOL / IMS Ability to communicate precisely and clearly, in both spoken and written English Ability to work flexible hours Proven ability to handle multiple projects and demands efficiently, by effectively managing time and priorities Experience working with established project management methodologies and tools A strong team player who puts the team before the individual Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, on occasion as required Demonstrated project management methodology experience, including IT delivery methods including but not limited to Agile and Waterfall Ability and willingness to provide 24x7 production support, as assigned Knowledge of common data structures, algorithms and knowledge of design patterns and best practices for reusable code Ability to scrutinize applications and services to ensure they adhere to security standards Networking knowledge and experience using MQ protocol   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
