Job Description DBA: Relational Database Experience, SYBase, Cobol,

Required Skills: -Relational Database experience is required. -Powerbuilder -Around 2 years of PowerBuilder development experience will suffice as long as they know their basics. 1) 2 years of experience or less is sufficient 2) Experience working with Cobol based applications - a plus 3) They are on a bi-monthly cycle for enhancements and modifications (its not brand new development) 4) They are looking for RECENT experience (people who have used Powerbuilder) in their last 1-2 assignments 5) ***** People must know data windows and non-visual user objects (used to create class libraries) 6) They are upgrading to 11.5, but candidates do not need Powerbuilder 5 or 11.5 experience - any version is fine 7) Sybase certs - a plus 8) Unisys mainframe and databases 9) Fast paced, self starter, dedicated, can meet deadlines, motivated 10) Will take Junior level Contract slated until 4/30/2011, but could be extended. We are currently using PowerBuilder 5 and we are planning to migrate to 11.5 soon. This effort is still in the planning stages. We have migrated, but not tested or deployed. Most of our interview questions are very basic that anyone with a couple of years Powerbuilder development experience should be able to answer. Analyze, design and develop Powerbuilder programs independently. Work with the client to gather requirements and support their testing effort. The persons daily duties will be . Analyze requirements with minimum help from track manager. . Design enhancements . Troubleshoot issues . code enhancements and fixes . unit testing their changes . support testing
