Provide technical expertise to develop applications and networks for financial institutions using Microsoft tools. Provide assistance to developers and implementations teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to customers. Responsibilities · Provide support for troubleshooting and resolving network related incidents. Provide assistance to support staff to reduce impact for customers · Develop processes to automate server and workstation installations. · Provide support for development, troubleshooting and resolving internal server issues · Assist both internal and external with connectivity problems as they relate to the network. · Participate in special project teams, representing network operations on new product designs and implementations. Develop network support structure and process for new BU implementations. · Evaluate new hardware, monitoring systems and tools · Evaluate client needs for network communications with multiple locations including MPLS and VPN · Lead installations of networks at customer sites · Research solutions to network and application situations and issues. · Create and maintain internal processes and procedures. Requirements Education Bachelors Degree is preferred. Equivalent work experience can be substituted. Experience 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar role is highly desireable but not required. Experience configuring and independent troubleshooting of Cisco Switches and Routers. Experience with troubleshooting WAN and LAN connectivity issues. CISSP, MCSE, Cisco certifications are desirable. Some travel Skills and Knowledge Proficiency in Microsoft products: (Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 and R2, Active Directory and Security features), SQL(SQL 2005 and SQL 2008) Server-Installation, Configuration, Performance Tools, Query Knowledge of VMWare, Excellent oral, written, analytical skills. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical employees. Must be able to work as a team member in a technical project environment. Must be self-motivated and able to think “outside the box.” Experience defining and creating process and procedure documentation preferred.
