Note: Submission Deadline: 11/22/2022 10am EST Start Date: 12/1/2022 End Date : 6/30/2023 Client: Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Description: 4 Scope of Services FDOT is requesting staff to assist with the review of security logs and analytics tools. This includes: 1. Advance the implementation of network cybersecurity tools within FDOT, including coordination, implementation, and process/policy development. 2. Serve as a Senior Member of the FDOT Security Operations Center. 3. Addressing alerts and events from the following sources: a. FDOTs security operations toolset. (Defender for Endpoints, Malwarebytes, additional toolsets as added.) b. Florida Digital Services Cybersecurity Operations Center. c. FDOT Security Operations Center Tier 1/Tier 2 Staff 4. Resolving high-level events and incidents that the technician has been given authority and access to address. 5. Coordinating with Florida Digital Services in implementation of cybersecurity tools provided by FLDS. 6. Coordinating with Information Technology staff statewide in investigating events. 7. Participating in incident remediation efforts, including those that could potentially be large scale and require after-hour and weekend work. 5 Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields. Or equivalent work experience. 6 Experience A minimum of 3 years of combined IT and security work experience with a broad exposure to infrastructure/network and multi-platform environments. Requires knowledge of security issues, techniques, and implications across all existing computer platforms. 7 Primary Job Duties/ Tasks 1. Expanding the capabilities of the FDOT SOC through implementation of tools, identification of processes, and analysis of threats and risks. 2. Serving as a Senior Member of the FDOT SOC. 3. Detailed analysis of threats against FDOT, and development of recommendations to address that risk. 8 Job Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) 1. Knowledge of SIEM products such as Splunk, Azure Sentinel or Elastic. 2. Skilled in the use of endpoint detection and response tools such as Defender for Endpoints and Microsoft Security Center. 3. Ability to assist in cybersecurity strategic planning for FDOT. 4. Ability to review log data produced natively by firewalls and end-point detection and response tools for security indicators that support incident investigations. 5. Ability to implement complex networking tools/devices in a large-scale Microsoft network. 6.
