The lead will be responsible for managing the projects as well as testing of multi-tiered distributed and mainframe applications. An individual with a strong background in performance testing and/or in Analysis, Design, Developing, Programming, Testing and Implementing Mainframe batch and on-line systems is well suited for this position. Knowledge of multiple application infrastructures and strong communication skills are required for this position. The Performance Testing & Engineering team is a group of highly skilled engineers who help design, test, and monitor high performing financial service products. In addition to a diverse and deep technical understanding the team members are experts in performance testing and financial services. Responsibilities: Develop test strategies using project artifacts as well as in depth interviews of architects and development leads Execute performance tests on applications to assure capacity and stability of the applications meets requirements for production deployment. Measure resource consumption of components and processes and latency at measurable points in the systems under test Identify application bottlenecks and assist engineers with improving application performance and reducing latency Communicate performance testing results and identify areas for improvement with stakeholders at all levels Manage project deliverables and drive delivery of performance output with project managers, developers, and peers. Provide interim reports as well as a final report that summarize results to senior management. Required Skills: COBOL/COBOL II, CICS/TS 3.2, BMS, DB2, SQL, SPUFI, CAFC, DB2 IBM & PLATINUM UTILITIES REXX, TSO, ISPF, MVS UTILITIES, MVS/zOS 1.11, JCL, VSAM DCAMS, FILE-AID, INTERTEST, STROBE, Abend-Aid, SYNCSORT, CONTROL-M ENDEVOR, EASYTRIEVE, HIPERSTATION SOFTWARE, DB2 Stored Procedures MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint Desired Skills: Excellent analytical skills and extensive troubleshooting experience Project management experience as well as excellent presentation and communication skills Project leadership qualities and demonstrated the ability to lead and run multiple projects Thorough understanding of distributed and mainframe systems, schedulers, I/O, Db and system metrics Background in Financial Services Experience and insights into Fidelity Investments test and production systems is a plus Familiar with the SDLC methodology Qualifications: Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related quantitative discipline OR Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related quantitative discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a high tech environment.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
