Job Description: Order Processing System (OPS) - is a Windows 2000 web services that sends and receives order information from Siebel OPS was written about 10 years ago in Visual studio 6.0 and has been growing unstable lately. It is a single point of failure. There are many configuration settings built in to improve performance which needs to be looked at. Also, OPS VC++ projects have to be ported to a later version where one can debug the code. Second major feature wed like to add is to make OPS HA. It needs to run on two different boxes and will have to be fault tolerant. Requirements: - 10+ years experience in Visual C++. - Minimum 5 years experience with Visual C++ 6.0 (this is a must have) - Strong Knowledge of Siebel APIs, COM objects - 2+ years DB2 experience - 2+ Java/J2EE webservices experience is required Environment: - Operating sytem used for the OPS box: Windows 2000 SP4 - Development Environment: Visual Studio 6.0 with C++ 6.0 - Connects to Siebel version : 7.5.3 - DB2 database Responsibilities include: 1. Build OPS code and run in QA 2. make code modifications for running multiple instances 3. Check interfacing with Siebel and fix any issues that will lead to a hang 4. Work on all performance parameters defined in OPS and tune it to optimal values 5. Document the system and provide a roadmap for either a Java rewrite or a VC++ upgrade 6.
