DB2 UDB DBA SDLC Analyst (Jobs in Merrimack, NH)   Requirement id 51778 Job title Analyst Job location in MERRIMACK, NH Skills required PL/SQL, T SQL, DB2, UDB DBA SDLC Open Date 25-Feb-2016 Close Date Job type Not specified Duration 6 Months Compensation DOE Status requirement --- Job interview type --- Apply    Email Recruiter: coolsoft Job Description Analyst: PL/SQL, T SQL, DB2, UDB DBA SDLC Note: Start date : 3/7/2016 Submission deadline: 3/1/2016 Description: Primary Responsibilities • Perform database administration activities including backup and recovery, monitoring, performance and tuning, replication, schema management, space management, PL/SQL tuning, SQL tuning, and auditing. • Work with development teams during the database design process and make recommendations based upon application data manipulation requirements. • Track capacity management. • Position requires 7 x 12 on-call rotation for production support, database maintenance, housekeeping, and software installations. • Work closely with other groups including Design, Database Architecture, Operations, and Systems Administration. • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems quickly. • Plan and implement database upgrades and patching. • Communicate clearly with our partners inside and outside FPCMS. • Respond to customer requests in a courteous, timely manner. • Demonstrate leadership/influence and collaboration in a matrix-managed environment across multiple and diverse groups. • Provide database support in all phases of SDLC • Work with other people in the team to come up with solutions in line with groups standards • Ability to quickly diagnose the problem areas and come up with solutions and/or workarounds • Project coordination and planning Education and Experience • 9+ years of Sybase DBA/Development experience. • Oracle and DB2 –UDB knowledge preferable • Expertise with Data Migration, data movement, shell scripting, and PL/SQL or TSQL development. Skills and Knowledge • Skills in a broad range of database technologies but specifically large database technology. Experience in the Mutual Fund/Financial Services industry is highly desired • Should have strong time management skills with willingness and ability to handle multiple projects/initiatives at the same time • Self-motivated with strong team and interpersonal skills.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
