Job Description DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop/maintain efficient Mainframe solutions utilizing Natural to resolve complex business needs. Develop these applications according to customer requirements, following development standards, for applications within Technology Services at Client. Lead small and medium-scaled projects, spanning multiple technology platforms and integration of multiple functional areas. Manage project tasks and plan, utilizing the Project Management Methodology for project compliance. This position will require a strong focus on Mainframe development and design. Assess project risks, and effectively manage and communicate them to the manager in a timely manner. Coordinate with other technical teams to develop appropriate interfaces and ensure quality and efficiency through capacity planning, performance assessment, and both integration and regression testing. Coordinate customer acceptance testing and ensure customer satisfaction through timely resolution of issues, regular status reports, and ongoing communication. Understand and adhere to the Technology Services infrastructure and inter-relationships. Provide customer support 24x7 on a rotating basis. Perform other special duties as assigned. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVES - DO NOT SUBMIT A CANDIDATE THAT DOES NOT MEET EACH OF THESE): . 3 or more years of application development and support experience using the Natural programming language required. . 3 or more years of application development and support experience using DB2 required. . 3 or more years of technical analysis and design experience resulting in documented requirements and specifications required. . Bachelors degree (B.A. or B.S.) or greater than 5 years business and/or equivalent formal training or work experience required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: . Work experience with full lifecycle application development, including: Natural, DB2, MQ and MQ series, IMS, TSO, MVS JCL, database performance tuning, and support, as well as experience with project management methodology. . Additional technical skills that include, telecommunication network and client-server technologies. .
