Expert knowledge in one or more of the infrastructure / application monitoring tools Gomez, DCRUM, dynaTrace, Splunk, Gigamon is required. Consults on planning with other groups - server engineering, network engineering and application development teams - on proper design and use of monitoring technologies and tools and performance testing. Assist in planning, scheduling and managing Monitoring Infrastructure support work activities/projects. Keeps abreast with client based monitoring solutions (Operating Systems / Hardware / Tools / Applications) in order to select appropriate technology platforms that are cost beneficial. May work closely with outside vendors. Remains current with technologies. Consult on operational and planning issues related to implementing monitoring solutions. Supports the manager in planning, executing and monitoring a staff development program. Participate in After Action Reviews; assist with formal or informal presentations. Promotes continuous improvement philosophy and methodology that result in a continuous improvement culture within Information Technology.
