The IT Infrastructure Services Team (IST) is seeking an experienced, self-motivated IT System Administrator with demonstrated competence and thought leadership capability to contribute toward the success of our business operations and improvement initiatives. The IT System Administrator is responsible for effectively designing, provisioning, configuring, installing, operating, documenting, maintaining, monitoring and reporting of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure performance. IT SA participates in technical research and development to enable continuous improvement within IST, as needed. Primary Responsibilities: Demonstrate experience designing, installing and supporting workstations, servers and agency IT systems environment containing a blend of Windows Servers 2008-2012, Windows workstations, LAN, VPN, Microsoft Exchange 2010 Server, Microsoft SharePoint, Active Directory, VOIP, business and custom applications. Demonstrate experience designing, installing and supporting a virtualized infrastructure (Hyper-V 2008/2012 preferred or VMware ESXi 5.x), virtual servers and Storage and Security Demonstrate experience installing and supporting one or more recent Microsoft enterprise level products (Exchange 2007 or newer, SQL 2005 or newer, MS Access, ODBC, System Center suite, SharePoint 2010 or newer, etc.). Perform Windows Administration leveraging Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, WINS, DFS, MS SQL, Print server, File server, and SharePoint? Proactive performance and security monitoring of all servers, applications and services using a combination of tools to ensure high availability, breach mitigation, Audit and SLA compliance.? Assist in developing, implementing, testing, documenting and maintaining IT policies and procedures including server standards for disaster recovery, business continuity plans?, & audits Demonstrate experience independently managing multiple assignments, developing strategies using new technology to manage and improve program effectiveness. Experience troubleshooting basic TCP/IP-related problems (name resolution, IP conflicts, subnetting or supernetting, packet loss, etc.). Provide end user support (including IT Incident or Problem Tickets) for all end user-based systems (e.g., business and/or custom applications, devices); Serve as escalation point to vendors for resolution of system and/or application problems. ? Proactively provide KPI reports, and documentation on systems / application operations. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in a computer related field – i.e. Computer Information Systems or Computer Science. 3+ years of local network and system administration experience using Windows and underlying subsystems and services. ? Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.? Microsoft MCSE and/or MCSA certification preferred. Extensive Experience with NAS or SAN storage systems. Demonstrated experience working in ITIL Service Management organization is a plus ?Ability to write scripts in some administrative language (Perl, PowerShell, or VBScript).
