Job Description : It is currently seeking a Network Engineer in the West Des Moines, IA area: Job Description & Details: Lead the solution development of DDI (Data Name Services (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration (DHCP), & IP Address Management (IPAM)) systems and Time Services (NTP/PTP), all of which are foundational technology systems that exist at the core of Wells Fargos network with the ability to affect customer-facing application systems and critical business functions across the enterprise. Develop new solutions for deployment in production based on Architecture requirements provided by Lead Network Planning and Architecture group. This may be project driven or architecture driven. Conducts technology and network assessments, including solutions to enhance or create new business opportunities, integrating multiple technologies. Individual serves as the highest level data network consultant to internal clients and technical management in all areas of the business to ensure conformity with corporate network architecture. This position is directly aligned to our Foundational Services to provide design solutions with a focus on leading our Data Name Services (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and Network Time Protocol technology connectivity which is on our strategic roadmap to increase business acuity. Duties will include but not limited to: • Roadmap/Horizon Planning Documents • Pipeline Documents • Feature Mapping • Function Mapping • LCM Mapping • Design Options • LIAISON FOR INFRASTRUCTURE ARCHITECTURE(IA)/ LINE OF BUSINESS • Engaged for Major Projects – Technical Lead • Responsible for Oversight of entire domain Develops and maintain Network Deployment Guide or Solution Guides (DG) for assigned Domain Area (DA). Identify new products for EOS/EOL. Identify new products to support new MBOs (requiring new features) or to fill gaps. Document evaluation criteria. Develop and participate in POCs at vendor sites for new products and services. Develop Functional and Integration Testing at WFS lab for new products and services. Ensures new product / solution is supported end to end. Develop scripts and templates for new services (outputs to Network Engineering) Validates / proves out and refines high level architectural designs developed by planning. Defines Design elements, Statement of work to engage the LAB to establish new development environments for Solutions to be developed. (Provide Bill of materials hardware/software) Work with planning to obtain seed funding. Research and document industry best practices. Communicate development steps completed and action items. Consults with technical groups, users and/or vendors to identify and influence functional specifications and business/technical requirements. Proposes and creates conceptual network design/hardware reconfiguration and implementation methods. Plans and oversees network studies and traffic analyses. Oversees forecasts of network traffic and capacity. Design work is creative, unique, sophisticated and complex. Provides updates to the service catalog and add certified new equipment to release procurement for network engineers to order Desired Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in design of DNS, DHCP and NTP architecture inclusive of: o IPv4 and IPv6 Protocols DDoS prevention and detection in AnyCast and traditional DNS infrastructures. o AnyCast optimization and fault isolation o Best practices with F5 GTM, Active Directory DDNS and Infoblox Grid technology integration o Cloud and on premise design solutions for DNS o Domestic and   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
