Job Description : Project: collaborating with local business users to understand business processes, gather technical requirements, evaluate proof of concepts, design, develop, performance tuning and support visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop, SQL, Python, HTML etc.Ideal candidate: * Data Warehousing and complex SQL skills is required* Experience with Power BI functionality (parameters, actions, tooltip modifications, etc.) and DAX to create analytical dashboards* Able to integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service (SaaS), Microsoft Teams and must be experienced in developing custom visuals for Power BI.* Will need strong Microsoft Power BI, SQL experience (at least 4+ years of each).* Oil and Gas experience is a plus* Teradata and TIBCO Spotfire is also a strong plusKey Accountabilities* Design, develop and maintain Power BI self-service reports and dashboards, identifying KPIs to let business answer drivers of results, predict future outcomes and/or perform what-if analysis.* Research, recommend, develop, train functional groups on reporting data discovery, KPI dashboarding and data science solutions.* Ability to work independently with management and business users gathering requirements with high attention to detail and focused on the timely completion of deliverables.* Partner with architecture teams to ensure end-user reporting needs are met by the existing data warehouse platform.* Responsible for developing and implementing the data models for assigned reports, dashboards and business intelligence applications including, but not limited to gathering necessary data requirements, understanding presentation layer needs and developing the semantic layer, analytic views, virtualization layers, logical data models, working with the application DBAs to implement better physical data models and working with developers on solving challenging and difficult data and data performance issues.* Demonstrates creative thinking to resolve problems.* Provides hands-on technical knowledge & leadership working with database developers, DBAs, architects, data quality analysts, and other teams as well as manages relationships within context of the individual role.Required and Preferred Skills and Experience* Senior level, typically 7+ years of experience.* Understands advanced aspects of discipline and is viewed as an expert in a given field.* Applies broad range of competencies to develop solutions to complex problems.* Influences others to achieve objectives.* Often provides specialized/technical/functional guidance to others within department and/or business asset.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
