To be successful in this role, you must enjoy analyzing website content, user journeys, and website metrics. A deep understanding of the local search landscape, managing local search listings on search engines an understanding of local listing tools and dashboards is required. This person will define, plan, implement and measure local SEO visibility across search engines. This position requires a combination of local SEO expertise and project management skills. Working inside a large organization with diverse teams, the SEO Manager will provide keyword analysis, on page optimization recommendations and manage local search projects from start to finish. Essential Functions • Perform on page local SEO and provide recommendations for local store pages • Propose functionality and requirements for new local store pages based on industry trends and competitor analysis • Create and monitor local store reporting metrics from Google My Business, Bing local search and related local search ranking dashboards • Review and work with product and engineering teams on requirements and execution • Prioritize and project manage high impact Local SEO initiatives • Define (baseline) and measure local SEO metrics at a location and department level • Build checklists, templates, training guides and evangelize local SEO standards and best practices • Stay on top of local SEO trends and share with SEO, product and engineering teams Competencies · The ideal candidate will be able to identify opportunities to improve discoverability of Walmart locations and services in local search results. · Over 2 years of experience with Google My Business, Google Search Console and SEO analytics dashboards like BrightEdge, Conductor, SearchMetrics etc. · Experience working with SEO tools, such as Yext or Wheretogetit. Qualifications • 3-5 years in an SEO role • Deep understanding of SEO architecture, link graphs, taxonomies, content optimization and distribution • Solid understanding of HTML, Javascript, and DOM as it relates to SEO best practices • Strong Excel modeling skills including use of pivot tables; proficiency in PowerPoint and presenting to large groups • Eagerness to learn and grow • Experience working for an online retailer or eCommerce site is a plus   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
