The clients project is a mission-critical effort to design, develop and deploy a comprehensive Academic Information System (AIS)to provide academic profiles for areas of expertise, research information, publications, grant/contract funding, teaching history in addition to support the personnel activities related to hiring and progression of the clients faculty. The application leverages state of the art technologies and service oriented architecture to harvest and produce comprehensive, robust suite of tools used throughout the client site. As a member of the Clients Project team, the Data Modeler will be responsible for: - Assist in analyzing business data requirements, application data requirements, and determine database structural requirements. - Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models as needed. - Map data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics. - Address data-related problems in regards to systems integration and multiple-platform integration. - Identify opportunities for data reuse, data migration, or data retirement. - Establish processes for governing the identification, collection, and use of enterprise data. - Establish methods and procedures for tracking data quality, completeness, redundancy, and improvement. - Develop and deliver strategic goals for overall data management roadmap, data architecture vision and standards in conjunction with data users and key stakeholders. Desired Qualifications: - Hands-on knowledge of enterprise data repository tools, data modeling tools, data mapping tools, and data profiling tools. - Expertise with repository creation, and data and information system life cycle methodologies. - Experience with business requirements analysis, entity relationship planning, and database design. - Ability to manage data and metadata migration. - Proficient in Master Data Management, Operational Data, Analytical Data, Unstructured Data, and Metadata. - Demonstrated ability to write complex SQL for purposes of analyzing data. - Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to articulate ideas to various audiences. - Strong understanding of relational data structures, theories, principles, and practices. - Strong understanding of metadata management and associated processes. - Skilled in current SQL Server database software. - Experience with triplestore database concepts and architecture (preferred, not required). - Experience with one or more of the following - Erwin, Kimball, ETL.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
