This individual will work as part of the Informatics Team supporting the Enterprise Data Foundations Operational Data Stores (EDF ODS) and Enterprise Data Foundations NEXTGen On-Demand Operational Reporting (EDF ODR) Project which aims to improve operational reporting through implementing the EDF. Background: Data Analysis is the art of collecting and analyzing data so that FEP can use said data to address gaps in operational capabilities and support the HEDIS and Fraud, Waste & Abuse Use Cases. The Lead Data Analyst/Modeler is a highly trained professional who performs the analysis, running various mathematical calculations to determine how the data samples might best be applied against the specific Use Cases. The Lead Data Analyst/Modeler will use his/her technical expertise to cull data through advanced computerized models; then, extrapolate data patterns to assess data quality and integrity issues. Most importantly, the data analyst evaluates risk; culling statistical information to determine risk to operations or non-compliance. Tasks: Candidate will support the implementation of a Data Integration/Data Warehouse for the Informatics Teams 25% of time Data Cleaning identify erroneous data 25% of time Analyze and assess the quality and integrity of the data Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality 25% - Understand the meaning/business context of data Acquire data from internal or external data sources and maintain mapping documents of the files, databases/data systems. Perform data analysis and data modeling to create source to target mappings. Evaluate risk from statistical information to determine risk to operations or non-compliance. Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to business and other IT teams. 25% - Additional screening/analysis of data Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports and feedback Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. Required Qualifications: 8+ years demonstrated experience as Data Analyst/Modeler Demonstrated Structured Query Language (SQL) and Visio skills Demonstrated experience with Data Profiling Demonstrated ability to assess analytics and leverage to make informed recommendations B.S. in Mathematics, Economics, or Computer Science Preferred Qualifications: Master of Science in Mathematics, Economics, or Computer Science Working knowledge of U.S. Healthcare Industry Working knowledge of HEDIS, Fraud, Waste & Abuse Working knowledge of ETL Working knowledge of ALM   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
