For e.g. Hive, Scoop, Revolution R, MAP Reduce -Experience on MPP architecture and partitioning -Sound knowledge of SQL RESPONSIBILITIES: - This is under the analytics space of cards division. -This is application database administrator role for supporting Hadoop and Vertica databases. -Create and maintain clients processes for supporting Hadoop and Vertica database -Participate in project, design and architecture and project review meetings and provide guidance/suggestions -Participate in capacity planning -Coordinate with Cloudera/HP as a part of issue management -Coordinate the projects impact across release environments (Development and UAT) -Provide space estimate for the impacted tables (new and altered) -Provide assistance to project application teams in troubleshooting any performance problems or other issues/defects -Create/Modify DDLs (Data Definition Language) based on the Data Model. Migrate DDL from Development to User Acceptance Testing environments -Create/modify project specific data models -Identify retrofits to be applied to subsequent release environment -Maintain a list of all objects being impacted per region and project -Build new release environment as per clients guidance. Also validate environment after creation and applying retrofits. -Facilitate migration of Database objects into production ( Build production install scripts, install documentation, create all necessary tickets for the install and participate in production install review with application and production DBAs)   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
