Responsible for all activities required to ensure optimum performance and data integrity of databases in production environments, in line with the requirements. Responsible for server based databases in development and test environments including database soft ware installation, database creation, performance and capacity design, backup and recovery design, security design. Qualifications: 3-9 years experience, Bachelors Degree. Should be proficient in Software Engineering Techniques, Software Engineering Architecture, Software Engineering Lifecycle and Data Management. Should have progressing skills in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Software Engineering Leadership, Architecture Knowledge and Technical Solution Design . Summary: Responsible for modeling and mapping data fields from legacy systems to target systems. Working with the legacy teams and the business in helping defin e and develop business rules, value maps, Source to Target Data Mapping documents and assisting ETL Development Team in development activities. Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills. Must be able to have strong problem resolution mentality with a proven ability to be self-motivated. Must be able to work in fast paced environment. Education: BS degree in a technical discipline desired. Experience with Data Profiling using SQL and other methods. Solid understand of data analysis techniques or processes. , DB2, Oracle, UNIX and Plant Knowledge of Inside Plant, Outside Plant, Line Cards, HSI, Triad, Customer. Experience in mapping telecom OSS conversions. Proficient in SQL commands. AS/400 knowledge - preferred. Informatica, Talend or other ETL tool experience - preferred. Expert level SQL programmer. DB2 experience and Work on Oracle SQL Q ueries, Stored Procedure, Oracle Data dumps, Reporting. Well versed in Excel and XML including XSL. 5-10 years of Telecom experience and large scale data conversions. 5-10 years of business analysis in mapping data, tracing business/data dependencies, making decisions, 5+ years expertise in PL/SQL queries/programming and Oracle/DB2 database.
