The selected candidate will be assigned to the IIS project. Expectations will include: ? Understanding of how data is mapped from source systems, through the Extraction Transform Load (ETL) process and into the IIS ? Understand and document how data maps from source systems to the various IIS reports and dashboards ? Work with the IIS vendor and ITS to design and implement database indexes and partitions to improve application and dashboard performance ? Work with the OBIEE Dashboard developer to support dashboard development ? Work with the Business Analysts to make modifications to the SLI load file(s) as required following the quality assurance testing activities Duties will include but are not limited to: ? Facilitating interfaces between up to 30 source systems and the IIS ? Writing interface extract files ? Building ETL process for importing data from source systems ? Design and document interfaces and data mapping between IIS and the ODS ? Build database views or materialized views to support the IIS dashboards ? Analyze database performance ? Tune SQL queries as needed ? Run custom IIS extracts and reports ? Design IIS Data Warehouse to serve IIS Dashboards and reports ? Develop data files that will be used to load the SLI data store ? Leverage the DPI Agency files that DPI source systems are creating for submission to MFTS ? Transform data in accordance with the data transformation business rules to convert the data from the existing state to the state needed to support the EdFi standard and load into the SLI data repository ? Support quality assurance testing ? Schedule the SLI load file generation and submission in accordance with the schedules defined in the SLI load file(s) specifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: Required: ? Minimum of three (3) years experience as a Data Base Programmer/Developer ? Bachelor?s degree with (9) nine semester hours in programming and (4) four years Experience (Experience in the field of work related to the positions role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis) ? Motivated self-starter ? independent person requiring minimum supervision ? Positive attitude ? works well with other team members ?
