As part of this process, some applications will be migrated to other platform(s) based upon an assessment the client is conducting. Applications, data, processes that are identified as to be transformed will be addressed by other projects. The remainder (migrated, eliminated) will be part of the Mainframe Elimination project. The Architect will serve to construct the future state architecture to support the migrations to be performed based on the results of the above assessment. Responsibilities / Deliverables: Analyze recommendations being proposed (future state) by the assessment vs. the client architecture for related environments (ex: Linux) Collaborate with the Assessment team to deliver (for In Scope applications for MF Elimination): o Current State Architecture (Infrastructure + Application Level) o Future State Architecture (Infrastructure + Application Level) o Requirements to the Infrastructure team (virtual servers, databases, etc, including: Sizing (processor, memory, storage), Availability (ex: HA (High Availability) (if required)) Backup requirements O/S requirements Software installation (emulators, tools) Timing (Delivery date by environment (production, development) Meet with Architecture team to confirm deliverables above and revise based on feedback. Meet with the Infrastructure team director to discuss requirements, and confirm timing.
