These solutions must be aligned with business and GBTS strategies and comply with the organizations architectural standards. Establishes production schedules, ensuring that appropriate jobs, documentation and data files are available. Assists in job set-up. Performs problem identification, escalation and resolution. Communicates status of operations to allow for immediate response to service disruptions. Assists in coordinating the efforts of supplier teams when needed to develop or sustain the application environment. Minimum 4 years relevant experience. Bachelors Degree or equivalent. Domain knowledge in multiple technical areas. Ability to work on all phases of functional requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication. Familiar with ITIL best practices for service design, transition and operations. Additional Job Details: We are searching for a Build Engineer with excellent communication skills to join the application build team. This individual will be focused on performing daily application build and deployments along with related troubleshooting tasks. Experience with build workflow management tools such as AnthillPro and the management of application source control tools is preferred. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the daily tasks required to build and deploy multiple complex java applications Maintain the existing Maven build scripts to provide for new application modifications Support the promotion of application changes through numerous environments from development to production. Monitor the source control tool activities for multiple project and release streams Provide communication with multiple partnering teams in regards to build status and statistics Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays REQUIRED SKILLS: Minimum 2 years managing the daily build and deployment activities for large, complex java applications Excellent written and verbal communication skills DESIRED SKILLS: Build/Release automation experience using UrbanCode AnthillPro or a similar tool Source Control management experience including the creation and oversight of parallel development activities through multiple branches Unix scripting using Perl, Python, Jython or Shell scripts Overall build and release process expertise including the ability to analyze and recommend workflow improvements Continuous Integration build and deployment workflow implementation Websphere deployment experience Strong Linux Skills Experience with branching and merging in ClearCase and/or Git Ability to 2nd shift schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays Familiarity with Java and reading system logs Websphere/JBoss/TCServer deployment experience Preference for a second shift resource to fill the gap between the 9am-5pm shift and offshore 12am-9am shift.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
