We have a 12-month project with our client in Menands, NY that requires a Java Architect, Expert To assist in architecture design, development, support, and maintenance of Office for Health Emergency Preparedness (OHEP) funded applications used for preparedness planning and response in emergencies. Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to: Guide design and supervise coding from requirements and functional specifications. Architect, analyze, evaluate, test, debug, document, and implement web applications. Work with staff to ensure smooth and correct operations of any code or web services used by the application. Produce technical and user documentation as requested. Any other tasks necessary for completion of project deliverables and application support. Provide technical solutions for large scalable designs. Communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical personnel. Communicate with programmatic units to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Mandatory Qualifications: Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large-scale software system. 84+ Months-Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. Preferred Qualifications: 84 months of experience designing/architecting applications with web technologies in a JEE environment, including Servlets, JSP, Java/JEE, HTTP, HTML, XML, SQL, JSF, JDBC/MyBatis and application servers. 84 Months experience using SPRING or a similar java development framework. 84 months experience with Oracle database servers and PL/SQL. Experience should include creating stored procedures, triggers, and other objects. 36 months experience using Angular 2.x and above to design and develop modern UI/UX. 48 months experience with RESTful web service development and API architecture. 48 months experience managing the software development lifecycle of a team. This must include managing development, testing, continuous integration, and deployments.
