Senior Programmer: *Functions at the expert level under the general direction of the project manager or technical leader, designing the logic for and writing lines of code of a computer program. Can act in a lead capacity on complex projects, or can work independently or on a team as a high level technical specialist. *Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming; at least three (3) years of said experience shall have included responsibility on a project basis for analyzing operational methods and developing computer programs to meet desired results, at least two (2) years of said experience must have been at a high level both technically and in measure of responsibility. *Must have knowledge of electronic computer programming; electronic data processing equipment and its capabilities; principles and techniques of studying work processes for new or revised electronic computer applications; principles of designing methods of processing data; technical report writing; statistical methods. *Must have the ability to write complex programs and develop detailed program specifications; analyze data and situations, reason logically and creatively, identify problems, draw valid conclusions, and develop effective solutions. *Must have the ability to apply creative thinking in the design and development of methods of processing data. *Must be able to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others. *Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a variety of audience types using different mechanisms including informal updates, formal presentations, business case documents, and other analytical and technical documents. *Additional Senior Programmer qualifications for this engagement include: *5 years of VBA , Core Java, Spring (MVC Framework) and Hibernate *5 years of development experience in a SQL Server 2008/2012 environment *Development of workflow based processes using SSIS or other tools *Documenting application development and interfaces *Development and interpretation of conceptual, logical and physical database modelling *Use of Eclipse as IDE for application development *5 years of experience developing complex projects for Public Sector clients of which at least three years of said experience must have been at a high level both technically and in measure of responsibility. *DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: *Experience in the following areas: *Prior State of California experience *Strong knowledge in handling custodian, account and market data *Good understanding of investment risk, performance and attribution *Familiarity with portfolio relationships of a large investment management firm   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
