This will be a minimum of one year with potential to go perm. In support of Advanced Quality Engineering deliverables from Design to Safe Launch of a new product. Be the Advance Quality Subject Matter Expert for setting the Quality standard - uses of Best Practices during Product Development Process (PDP), Manufacturing and Safe Launch to meet customer requirement. Under limited supervision, designs and implements methods and procedures before the products reach mass production to meet the customer expected quality level. • Four-year college degree in electrical or mechanical engineering. • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Design, Manufacturing or Quality environments required. Advanced Quality experience highly preferred. • Must have a good understanding of automotive quality assurance approaches. • Familiarity with structured problem solving using one or more of the following methods: RED-X, 8-Discipline, 5 Why Analysis, Design For Six Sigma (DFSS) methods and Root Cause. • Familiarity of design engineering and manufacturing processes found at Companys suppliers. • Experience with Electronics Design processes. • Experience in Software testing and validation methods. • Experience in Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) Quality Systems related to product development. • Experience and knowledge to mentor and lead best practices globally. • Knowledge and experience in Automotive OEM customer Car Audio/Video test requirement. • Extensive experience and knowledge of GM QSB (Quality System Basic) preferred. • Specific experience in an electronics-manufacturing environment preferred. • Previous work experience in a cross-cultural, international environment preferred. • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Minitab, and Windows based databases as appropriate to the position and assignment. • Ensures Customer Quality Requirements are clearly defined & understood – functional requirement, test requirement, dependency analysis of specification, new technology, and quality metrics. • Reviews of current Design Processes/Practices- Ensure Global Design Best Practices are followed. • Establishes DFX Guidelines (Design For Manufacturability, Design for Testing etc.) across design centers. • Facilitates cross functional team review of Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis/ Design Review Before Failure Mode (DFMEA/DRBFM); ensuring effective DFMEA/DRBFM development based on Lessons Learned. • Validates proper actions are taken for future update to the DFMEA. • Actively participates in customer Product Development Team (PDT) meeting, Product Team (PT) meeting and their activities as needed. • Ensures Advanced Quality (AQ) responsibilities in the PDP process are completed. • Schedules AQ Checklist Review & Signoff with Cross Functional Team with goal of no red items when presented for Executive Sign-Off. • Analyzes reports and/or returned products, and recommends corrective action. • Travels to PASA Global Manufacturing sites during product builds (1S, 2S, PP0, PP1, etc.) to ensure quality standards are maintained, conduct Control Plan Walks and Work Instructions review. • Ensures understanding of the customer Advance Quality planning process and prepares all documentations required   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
