Job Description : Title: DevOps Engineer Location: Plano, TX (remote through 2021) Duration: Contract through December 2021 The team is looking for a DevOps engineer who can help improve developer experience by building and supporting infrastructure systems that bring products to new heights. In this role, you will be responsible for building AWS, infrastructure and DevOps pipelines using open source tools of the major public cloud providers. Responsibilities: Partner with product owners, end-users and technology peers with a product management mindset Manage concurrent responsibilities in a scaled agile environment Develop using open-source languages including Python, Java on various frameworks Discern between various AWS infrastructure models that best fits various use cases (i.e., event driven, job scheduled, server/serverless, microservices, streaming, etc.) and finding the balance of building new versus leveraging existing solutions Build DevOps pipelines that leverage the following techniques: Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, Test Automation, Infrastructure as code, full-stack and process monitoring, Test-Driven Development to enable the rapid delivery of working code utilizing tools like Jenkins, Nexus, Gradle, GitHub, Docker, Datadog, etc. Test our system integrity, implement designs, application developments and other processes related to infrastructure, making improvements as needed. Update our processes and design new processes as needed. Deploy product updates as required while implementing integrations when they arise. Automate our operational processes as needed, with accuracy and in compliance with our security requirements. Specifying, documenting and developing new product features, and writing automating scripts. Manage code deployments, fixes, updates and related processes. Work with open-source technologies as needed. Offer technical support where needed, developing software for our back-end systems. Requirements: Bachelors Degree or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or a relevant field. At least 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration, and AWS. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python, Groovy, Bash. Experience with project management and workflow tools such as Agile, Jira, Scrum/Kanban, etc. Experience with open-source technologies and cloud services.
